Visa Ban revoked by Biden

President Biden issued a proclamation on Feb 24, 2021 that revoked the immigrant visa ban, which went into effect on April 22, 2020 and had suspended entry of foreign nationals seeking U.S. green cards.

The ban has been revoked with immediate effect as of Feb 24, 2021.

Important Note - This revocation does not apply to the work-visa ban issued on June 22, 2020 (Proclamation 10052), which bans certain temporary nonimmigrant visa categories, including H-1B, L-1 and J-1 visas. That ban is scheduled to expire March 31, 2021.
